Our mission at Modern Mitre is simple: to give our customers a truly bespoke experience and a product that completely exceeds expectations. You won’t find our frames amongst hundreds of others in an arts and crafts or hobby store – every piece we make has been hand tailored for our customers.

We take special pride in our use of archival framing techniques, making our frames conservation and museum-grade. Featuring neutral pH, conservation quality surfaces this level of care keeps our customers’ artwork vibrant and visible for generations. 

Our expert framers use their knowledge of the industry to select only the finest mouldings, largely imported from Italy or built and sourced in the U.S. under the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), to create the perfect frame for our customer.

Turn around time

The long wait for most custom framing can be frustrating. But at Modern Mitre, we strive to complete all orders and have them in our customers’ hands in no more than two weeks. We know you’re ready to hang your work of art!

Modern approach

Because there are no set rules for framing, we pride ourselves on thinking outside the box and giving our customers unique framing solutions.  We do not subscribe to the thought that framing is an antiquated, predictable process. At Modern Mitre, we’re not limited to gilded frames and canvas liners.
